It's a week before my period is due and i have a little bit of brown discharge what could it be?

i just noticed brown spotting and im supposed to get my period in one week and 2 days.....i also have a really bad cramp on my right side..can someone please help? and i know this seems strange but i took a qutip and swabbed a little bit and it was covered in brown discharge.and when i go pee there are little itty bitty blood clots probably the size of a piece of sand....im very scareddd......
